Snippets of Life
Office work load has been growing recently and it has become heavier, to much more heavier, to extremely heavy. Often, just when I am in the midst of completing my job or deep in planning in the office, a natural timer in me will alert me that it is time to go home. Though I do not like the feeling of leaving my piece of job half done, I am also fully aware that I have to fetch my boy or not to be home late in order to spend that little time with them.
It has been a while, since Brendan’s examinations, that I have been regularly bringing my work home. I do hate the feeling of neglecting the boys but each time I remember the office deadlines, I have no choice but persevere to deliver my work. Hopefully, this busy work state will end soon. I guess it is really not easy for a working mum to hold a heavy responsibility in office and at home. However, mothers do have amazing power because the thought of our children can often energize us to persevere.
Weekends time is what I treasure most now because this is the moment that I spend quality time with the boys and get filled in by their latest news and happenings. These snippets of lives that I share with my family is what I treasure most. I have not forgotten to capture these moments with my family into photograph……
As a self-reminder to ensure that I do not spend too much time at work at the expense of my boys, I have started this monthly series of photographs and videos. Each month, I will organize a series of photos on the snippets of our lives together. Perhaps, it not only marks down the memorable road that I have taken with my family, but also serves to remind me through each happy smile on the face that “Mummy. You have done well to develop a fun growing environment for your kids and you are still spending enough quality time with them.”
