Happy for You, Karen
Today is a special day for my niece, Karen, as she embraces her newborn son, Jerome. I sound pretty old to have a niece who is a mother, huh? Actually, Karen is just 4 years younger than me and she is the daughter of my cousin.
Having a small age difference and having no siblings, Karen is very much part of my childhood life. Having witnessed each other growing up, today, she joins me in the Mom Company of 2 kids. She is now the PROUD MOTHER of 2 kids (a 8 year-old girl, Jermaine and 1 day old boy, Jerome). Looking back, it has been a long time and we have all grown and mature as we enter different phases of our lives. Life is so amazing huh?
My mom (left), Myself (Centre) and Karen (Right)....I was in my beginning twenties. Haha, I cannot imagine attaching our earlier photos because we were all wearing our over-sized spectacles which were so big to cover half our faces..LOL
Congrats to Karen and Kiong. My mom is helping her with confinement and am sure both mommy and baby will be well-taken care of during this period:) I am really happy for her as we welcome a new life into our world.

And no you don’t sound old at all. Wait until your nephews and nieces are having children and then you will feel old!!

Congratulations Karen! Now you have a son. My prayer is that he grows into a strong productive man that loves life, family, and cherishes his dear Mother. There’s a big sister in the midst now! I know she’s as excited as your niece is…
Yes Roschelle. I am sure the eldest daughter cannot wait to welcome home her little brother. The family is even more complete now:)
