Children’s Inspirations: Leave a Room for 100%

Talking about motivating our children, haha, sometimes they motivate us :)

I used to stare wide-eyed at Bren when he surprised me by motivating me with his theory of positive attitude etc.

Kids…at times they can make us so angry but at other times, they can sound so sensible and mature.

Now, I tend to feel heartened when he starts sharing these positive ideas once in a while.

Hmm…or has my boy really grown?

Just that day….

Bren came beside me and shared this : “Mommy, if you want to upgrade and improve yourself, you cannot think that you are 100% right or best. Because then you won’t upgrade or improve yourself.”

*A tap on my head*. I don’t know where he gets this “motivation” from (TV? Book? Communication?) But he is absolutely right! Hey, we adults, are not always 100% right! Or we cannot behave that we are good enough or correct in everything because then, we are inhibiting ourselves to make any improvement or change.

[This is one of many attitudes that we have to watch out in Conscious Parenting. I shared about this in my previous post.]

Well-said, son! Thank you!

[It is a different generation now and we are in a stage of modern parenting!  I am receptive to any enlightening exchanges with my children.]

Do you also have moments that your younger ones will also talk some senses into you?

    WOW!!!!

I am impressed with Bren! So philosophical and he is absolutely right!

You need to empty the cup of tea before pouring new hot one in :)

I’m impressed too! Kids do say the darnest thing sometimes, dont they. :)

    Hi Michael and Lina,

At times, he really influences me by talking so sensibly. However, at other times, he tends to forget what he preached and then I end up reminding him. I guess as humans, we fail to see ourselves clearly.
