Our Little Conversations …#5 : Do Ducks Have Ears?
AHA! This is about human and animal talks…..
Darren seems to enjoy the ducks more than the flying birds whenever he is at the Jurong Bird Park. The last time, he was merrily chasing after a duck. Then, that day he went a step further to talk to ducks *lol*.
Darren: “ Quack! Quack! Quack!”
[The ducks ignored him. ]
Darren:”Papa, do they have ears? Do they have ears?”
Papa:”Yes. Their ears are covered by feathers. They are not happy to talk to you.”
[That answer inspired Darren to force the ducks to answer, haha!]
Darren: “Quack! Quack! Quack!”
[The ducks swam as if Darren was transparent.]
Darren:”Quack! Quack! Quack!” …..”Quack!! Quack!!!Quack!!!!…..Quark! Quaarrk! Quaarrk! Quaarrkkkkk…….Quaaaaarkkkkk!”
[Darren was persistent to get the attention of the ducks with louder and more "quacking" or "quarking". Haha! We were amused by his different pitches and tones. ]
So, if we think that ducks communicate among themselves only through ”Quacking”, then does it mean that we have to learn the “Do, Re, Me, Fa, So…..” of “Quacking” before they will reciprocate? Just a joke :)
Perhaps, our boy needs to stay in the farm to learn effective comunications with ducks *lol*. Hmm… I should consider a farm stay as our next getaway…..
Children’s actions are really a joy to watch. I am glad that I captured these funny moments in video.
Darren is so cute and funny. The video is nice!
