Life’s Reflections - Attitude Is Altitude

life-reflections-1

Why do humans have these mixed feelings?

Not happy with our present lives.

Feel unfair and compare our conditions with that of others whom we think are luckier than ourselves.

Put blames on others when things go wrong.

Have the perception that we cannot manage something which “we deem as impossible” when we have not even tried.

Easily beaten by failure.

Demoralised, unmotivated or uninspired sometimes for no good reasons

Over concerned over our physical appearances and maybe neglect the cultivation of our inner beauties.

Uncertain over what we want to actually achieve in lives.

Complain but never attempt to take efforts to change the situation.

Appreciate that we do have other choices in life.

The list goes on……………………………….

I was truly inspired and appreciative of what I have when I came across a very inspiring character – Nick Vujicic, a 26-year-old Australian who was born without limbs and arms. Nick has not given up hope and went on to lead life positively, achieve tasks that only normal people with arms and legs could do, attain a double bachelor degree and inspired many people (even children!) through his delivery of very motivating speeches and sharing in more than 19 nations. There are many more strong-willed people around the world that remind us that whatever difficulties that we are encountering are bearable if we look at their positive life struggles and life is how we make out of it. Having a positive mindset is so important.

Don’t feel bitter over who you are or what you have or experience because things will get better if we are motivated to make it happen. I feel strongly for this because I have gone through dark moments in my life and though a struggle, I made it with that extra inspiration.

I have not forgotten to share the inspiring story of such an inspiring character with my eldest boy (my youngest one is still too junior to appreciate the motivations behind). I am sure Nick’s life journey and strong motivation will inspire you too. You can find out more about Nick’s strength and motivations from the websites http://www.attitudeisaltitude.com and http://www.lifewithoutlimbs.org.
