The Foursome Having Fun!
Just when a game of mahjong needs four person to be played, a game of “Fantastic Four” will not be complete without the Four.
With the recent launch of the game “Ultimate Alliance 2″, Papa Ed immediately bought a copy. The Ultimate Alliance game features many super heroes of Marvel like Fantastic Four, Spiderman, X-Men characters, Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, and Thor. Besides that, he bought two more PS3 controllers (to add on to the original two controllers at home). This means that the adults at home, including myself, are expected to join the children in their PS3 games!
Actually…..knowing myself, it is hard for me to isolate myself and miss the fun at home or join the crowd *haha*. Having all males at home, it is so inevitable for me not to play their games sometimes. Hence, the foursome were engaged in a very “noisy” and “fun” game of Ultimate Alliance 2 … a few hours ago.
In the first game with mommy playing the superhero Wolverine, I was still searching for my character on the screen when I was told that my Wolverine character has already died <so embarrassing> *LOL*.
I tried to be better in the second game and this time I played the Invisible Woman in Fantastic Four. Again…my character was the first one to perish. I guess it didn’t matter as I performed better as we went along and was able to be with the kids in their moments of fun and laughter! <self encouragement>
Darren really created alot of laughter especially laughter in me as I really laughed till tears rolled down:) *ROFL*. I could not stop laughing when I saw him consistently walking in different direction from the team members and carrying heavy trees, cars, chairs etc. for no reasons at all. Playing with kids really bring back the “young side” in me and this mommy could, for the moment, stop playing the stern figure and let her hair down before the kids. Darren was really sweet as his superhero character was always trying to protect mine but he had his cute side too as he robbed my controller so that he could play my character instead when he lost *haha*.
Afterall, each of us has a unique side during the game:
Papa : The cool and calm gentleman who will even “lend” his character to other family members who unfortunately lost theirs.
Mommy: The blur and hilarious team player who created much laughter during the game
Brendan: The leader who strategises and lead the members to the correct battleground and who uses wits to defeat
Darren: The blur and kind team player who sometimes strolled off to a world of his own and uprooted most objects but who never failed to protect his mommy’s superhero character when I was in trouble <Isn’t he sweet?>
I never know a PS3 game played with two young boys can be so enjoyable. While we remember that any games played should be in moderation, this game has also taught the kids the importance of TEAMWORK.
I am glad that the boys do not mind that their mommy was abit lost and hilarious when the game started *wink*. It is good that the males at home have not forgotten to include me in a time of fun:) In fact, they were happy that I joined in. Actually, do I have a choice since the 4th controller was specifically bought for me? *hahaha*.
Check out this Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 official trailer, a single or multi-player game which you could play with your family:) Would like to highlight that all games for young kids should be played in moderation and with supervision by adults.

Wow my SIL and my two oldest grandsons would love this. I don;t know the 4 year old is already playing games on the PC too. He might also love it. I think he is some kind of PC guru or something.
He plays lots of the puzzle games on POGO and they’re for adults!!
Wow how did we plan this? I am here and you are at my blog today!! I think it’s awesome!!
