Last Moments of 2009, New Moments of 2010

For the first time, we spent last moments of New Year’s Eve with my in-laws who flew in from the States. Then again for the first time, we joined many Singaporeans at Marina Bay, on the eve of New Year, to await the spectacular fireworks and welcome the New Year.

Surprisingly, the boys were energetic and alert and we had no problem counting down to 12 a.m. at all! In fact, Darren was so excited that he could not wait repeating several times “10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5……1) even before the clock struck midnight.  I guess the most PRECIOUS MEMORY is still for the family to be able to transit into a brand new year together.

Here is the video of the 8-minute fireworks taken by Papa Ed. The experience of viewing fireworks “live”, right before our eyes, no matter how many times we have watched it before -  is definitely awesome!

Marching into the new moments of 2010, how did we spend our first few days of new year?  Being so busy all this while and without a domestic helper, we spent quite abit of our time clearing and tidying the house which has been growing with stuff. Wow! Our stuff have really grown in volume and untidiness- especially when  a family of TWO ADULTS has now TWO NEW YOUNG MEMBERS and no matter how you clear, the things will magically get untidy again.  *{Well …well…being a very tidy and organised person, it will really take a long time for me to get adjusted to a LIFE of untidiness especially when you have young ones at home}*

As for now, we are preparing Darren in joining the Primary School for the first time TOMORROW. Yes…both kids are going back to school again tomorrow.  After 1.5 month of not having to worry about their schedules and homework, the challenge starts again tomorrow.  Am trying to get re-adjusted to “School Life” again, together with them.
