Birthday Cards

Transmitting e-cards and smses have become such a convenient way of sending our birthday wishes to our friends and loved ones.

I miss those days when I used to collect the special greeting cards from friends and family members. One special moment that touched my heart with pleasant surprises was when Papa Ed wrote beautiful poems on three birthday cards and hid them in different parts of the house. Though the cards did not cost much then, the words and atmosphere of the day has remained in my memory till now.

This year, I have received three birthday cards even weeks before my birthday. Yes, yes but they are definitely not from friends or relatives because those wishes will come but in the form of electronic mode. These birthday cards are sent by shops that I patronise …..

Somehow, it is nice feeling to still receive the physical cards (though it has become so commercialised) and by displaying that it serves to remind my boys that mummy’s birthday is coming <CHUCKLE>

    Hey everyone,

Firstly, I love this site, keep up the good work, well done!

I saw the posts about birthdays, and since it is my best friends 21st birthday next week I wanted to add a quick comment. For my close friends I always organise a little gathering for drinkies in the evening, or a nice meal out! I try and go that little mile for my friends! As part of their day of surprises, I tend to send my friends a little electronic Happy Birthday greeting in my lunch break! I have done my research and tried loads of different sites, and have finally found the perfect Free Birthday e-Card site. This particular site has an awesome application where you can upload a photograph of yourself and incorporate it into your card. This is such a clever idea, and adds that personal touch, and as I already mentioned this particular site is totally free. I think e-Cards are definitely worth a try, they are not for everyone, but I am becoming a fan! Just wanted to share my findings with you all. Have a good rest of your afternoon, Nicole.
