The Graduation Dream of A Parent

Nowadays, do ALL parents aspire for their children to put on that university graduation hat, graduation gown and achieve that university degree certificate?

Well, I do.

Hee…   I felt excited even when my children put on their kindergarten graduation gowns *grin*.  It is a new milestone afterall and every achievement they have made is Another Step to Success.

[Till  the time comes, my expectations are still not that greedy..haha]

In today’s society……

Is it the demanding expectation of the parents for their children to obtain that degree qualification OR is it also the inspired dreams of their children?

It is a long long way………

Another 14 or 15 years away before my elder Brendan puts on that university graduation gown after doing national service here. Another 2 decades for Darren.

I am finding the educational standard getting tougher even for primary schoolers.

Even mommy and Papa are finding it difficult to fully guide Brendan anymore despite our educations.  Hmm, maybe we need to go for higher degrees or seek teaching profession to be able to coach them better.

Children, nowadays, are really expected to be equipped with so much knowledge from young and much are really outside the books.

By the time they complete their university education, I bet they will be so much more knowledgeable and advanced than we were at their age!

[Our children now have to put in so much more efforts than we did in the past. For this, they deserve our continuous encouragements and that GREAT PAT!]
