The newest talkabout mega mall in Singapore is the recently opened “nex” located at Serangoon.

If you have been to nex, I am sure you would have agreed that almost everything you need could be found under one roof here ( at least it is true for me). The mega mall contains 360 tenants, with a wide variety of businesses ranging from fashion shops, to many restaurants, 2 supermarkets, cinema, games arcade, KTV lounge, home and electrical items, banks, library (yet to be opened), bookshop, Pet Safari, beauty saloons, home entertainment products, children toy shops, bakeries and more…..

And I can’t believe that we actually occupied ourselves 9 hours in the mall once, entertaining ourselves with shopping, arcade gaming, feasting and karaoke singing *smile*.

What attracted us is not only the convenience of getting everything we need under one roof but also the SKY Garden. The Sky Garden at the rooftop of the mall consists of a Kidz Play and K9 Park (dog park). Good news for dog lovers because nex is the first mall in Singapore that has a dog park!  

Not only that and also a  dog restaurant allowing the dogs to feast with their owners.

Seems like getting wet at playground has become a “IN” thing for kids with the set-up of more such wet play facilities. Our boys would have joined in the fun of being drenched if not for their fever the last few days.

The nex is conveniently located next to the Serangoon MRT station.  The down side for drivers, however, is the design of the carpark facilities that cause bottleneck.  After patronising the mall 4 times, I can’t believe that each time we are still held back by the traffic jam outside the carpark even on weekdays! 

For drivers who are not patient to wait for the car queue, an alternative is to park at the neighbourhood carpark.
