Sentosa Boardwalk : In The Evening
Papa Ed and I were attracted by the awesome sunset view from the Sentosa Boardwalk one evening. The sky was clear and the evening timing was right.
One moment the fiery sun was shining brightly across the horizon.
Within the next tens of minutes, the sun has set beneath the horizon, leaving rich colours in the sky - with clouds reflecting the sunlights. I am sure sunrise here will be equally breathtaking, given a clear sky.
Unfortunately, we didn’t have our camera with us and managed to capture these beautiful moments with our iPhone. These skies are simply irresistable and so we went back again a few evenings later with our boys. We didn’t manage to enjoy the views that we had a few days ago. To our disappointment, the sky was not as beautiful in view of the heavy clouds but we did enjoy the breezy and non-sunny walk anyway - this time with two active boys *haha*.
Again on the boardwalk but each of us has a different way of enjoyment.
Brendan was observing each section of the boardwalk for its different themes. The boardwalk is unknowingly sectioned into Mangrove, Rock Garden, Terrain and Hill, Coastal Flora and Tropical Rainforest.
Learning through observation
With the long stretch of open/covered (travellator) walkway, Darren was having his best time posing for photos, running, jumping and into his real active self.
Learning through fun *haha*
For me, I enjoy walking here as a way of exercise especially with nice scenery and breezy weather and of course, for some family photoshots. We discovered that these steps of wooden flights make very good photo spots:)
Our boys got to pose in many ways along these flights
Don’t really see many flowers along the way and was happy to spot this lonely morning glory.
Next time, we will try having a picnic here. You might have read in our earlier post that we love a take-away dining experience too at different places, away from that four-wall standard dining experience:)
One thing common is that our boys and I were happy to come across giant origamies of bunnies, cranes and tulips here.
Darren got excited and exclaimed: “Mommy, we know how to make all these!”
Haha! If we could get paid by making origamies, I do not mind making many many origamies for Sentosa and lined the Boardway travellator with more giant origamies *lol*. I thought someone says having 1000 origami cranes means good luck?
We like the idea that we can enjoy the walk along the Sentosa Boardwalk without having to pay (from the direction of Vivocity till the entrance of Sentosa) unless we want to enter Sentosa.
Definitely good to stroll down the boardwalk after a heavy dinner at Vivocity.
