Getting Poetic and Artistic

After I have started to become slightly poetic in my earlier Mother’s Day post, Bren had decided to reciprocate by writing a poem to me. I am surprised that this small boy actually spent an effortless five minutes to pen down his thoughts and convey his thoughts to be in the form of a poem. Simple it may be but his words are worth more than a million gifts and I am sincerely touched.

“M” is for the Mummy who always loves me
“O” is for the Ordinary but fulfilling life my mother has given me
“T” is for the Time that my mother has spent with me
“H” is for the Happiness my mother has given me
“E” is for the “Encouragement” from her
“R’ is for the Respect I have for her

Darren’s Mother’s Day Card also means a lot to me too because my young boy has volunteered to make a card for me and he has finally learnt to spell and write out the Mother’s Day Message on his own “Happy Mother’s Day To Mummy”. Darren has become more independent in his artwork. I remembered the last time when he wanted to make a card for me during my birthday, he needed help to supply him with the materials and tools. Now he has advanced to self-help and before I knew it, he presented me with this gigantic but sweet card.

At this point I am truly a contented mother with two lovely and thoughtful sons and with Papa Ed by my side. Should I be sobbing with happiness now? Cos I am deeply touched….
