Paper Craft : Rabbits
It has been a cycle of 12 years since Brendan was born and in three days we will leap into the year of the Rabbit.
In recent weeks, Darren has become very interested in paper craft and one of the animal crafts that we will not miss is definitely the making of the BUNNY.
This is a bunny that Darren had made in school.
The printable template of this Bunny is obtainable from Canon Creative Park. All that our young ones have to do are to print out the material/template, do some cutting, folding and pasting - with some guidance from adults.
Check it out now at Canon Creative Park!
They have many more exciting art and crafts, ranging from Scrap Book, Paper Crafts to Art.
They have stuff that you can make for Valentine’s Day too.
Darren and I are getting ourselves into more paper craft activities from Canon Creative Park :)

These are some origami and hong bao rabbits that Darren and I have made. You can add eyes to them too.
Hehe….Darren is playing with them like they are new members of his Pet Safari.
Now, we can make them wherever we go and whenever we have a little spare time.
For me, I have made an abundance of them to symbolise an abundance of good luck, good health, good relationships, good fortune and everything else Good *haha*. I am so greedy :)
We made some for our parents and friends too.
If you are also interested to usher in more rabbits in the Year of Rabbit or simply engage in some art activities with your little ones, try making these rabbits. Check out this Youtube video which has clear step by step guide.
i love origami!
wow they are cute,,
I love to make origami as well. Thanks for the video! The one made by Darren is the best!
Hi Wenn,
I am starting to make some origami crafts everyday now since it is a way to spend some time with my young one and it is fulfilling when I see his excitement when something new is folded:)
I am still wondering whether the myth about the 1000 paper cranes can really make a wish comes true *wink*.
Hi Silvergirl,
Rabbits are always cute…esp the real ones:)
Hi Micheal,
Some origami are really heard to master. Like some in the youtube…I need to replay many times before I could follow. It is a skill that needs precisions and follow through of steps. A good pass time for kids definitely:)
Darren has got addicted, at least for now, and we have since added many to our origami collections and guide books….many many origmai animals, boats and boxes…different shapes and sizes…haha!
Ooooooh I’ve always wanted to learn how to do this. I’ll give that bunny a try.
