Candid is being NATURAL

Sometimes, it is really tough getting our boys to pose “with coordination” for photos.

When one is smiling, the other one chooses to look away.

Then, when one is in the mood to strike a ”what seems to be handsome pose”, the other one playfully steals his limelight with a lady-killer smile and James Bond gesture.

Finally, when all are standing in position, I would have screamed my voice hoarse *haha*.

Then as I looked through our photo collections, I came across some candid shots.  I wish we had taken more of such candid shots instead. I wish I could have taken more family videos.

It doesn’t matter whether they are looking into the camera or posing like movie stars for the video. It is best that they remain natural.

All because these are candid moments that are worth remembering for many years to come. It is often the little things that we do together in our daily lives that capture the essence of our happiness and the simple and yet beautiful bits and pieces of our lives.

Haha..these photos below are not pretty or well-taken but they will always hold the memories of the affection and fun moments that we have as a FAMILY and they mean capturing shots of our boys in their natural self.

[Often, these photos are much more meaningful and tell a tale worth remembering.]

I am definitely taking more of these candid shots and family videos.

Hee..I can already hear our elder boy saying “Don’t post my ugly photo, ok?”

“Roger, son.”:)

Hey Denesa really love the way you raise your kids.

Could really feel the kind of fun and loving atmosphere you have in your family.

Keep up your great job because whatever sacrifices you made for your family are all worth it. Anyone could see it!!

    Hi Christina,
I have my difficult family moments too:( Rules of life : Let Go of the unpleasant and cherish what we have. Moreover, our boys will fume if I wash too many of their dirty linens in public *oops*.

Actually, parenting has its ups and downs. I don’t look at what I have given as sacrifices since I made them as willing decisions and they are just part and parcel of our unconditional love for our families. When we get frustrated in the process, we just have to look at the small and heart-warming moments that we tend to overlook - cherish them and we find our motivations again. This is a reason why I start this blog so that I remind myself of these moments too. Parenting is no easy journey and sometimes have to let our hair down.
