Father’s Day

It has been a norm to celebrate Father’s Day with food.  We had an overdose of seafood ranging from our favourite crabs, fish, prawns and squids cooked in different styles, to salmon sashimi. We celebrated for three Fathers – Papa Ed, his dad and my dad and in different settings from the beach, to Japanese restaurant, to homecooked food in the comfort of my parents’ home.

I miss my dad’s homecooked food and we do not have the time to taste his cooking for a while. To my dad, the greatest joy on Father’s Day is have us home to eat the specialty dishes that he  has prepared. His pleasure is definitely to see us happily finishing all the dishes that he would usually take a few hours to carefully prepare.

Surprise....surprise....A spectacular fireworks

To my two boys, they had a wonderful time fishing, then by the beach, and then finally by the Singapore River with Papa Ed. They had also made two bookmarks for Papa Ed. We were also very delighted to chance on fireworks and also rainbow on this special occasion. Haha, even the restaurant, gave us a pleasant surprise by giving us a very special dragon sculpture on our favourite chilli crab dish!
