There are Flight Attendants, Train Attendants and now also Coach Attendants.  Few months ago, we took a VIP coach for a long distance trip and was served meals and snacks by a Coach Attendant cum Guide. Though I was surprised how she could do her balancing act of holding two full trays of our meals up the stairs of a moving and swaying coach, I was also pleased with the service that we received (afterall, it was the first time that I encounter a Coach Attendant.)

Have you also heard of a personal Car Attendant? Not on board a limousine but on board a sedan? Well, I am a classic one when I take the passenger seat in our cars. Of course, the VVIPs are none other than my hubby and two kids.  What does a Car Attendant do?

·        Supply tissue paper and also wet tissues

·        Provide charger and assist in charging handphones and electronic games

·        Clean up food mess and drinks spill in car

·        Tidy up carpets and mats

·        Provide my laps as cushions for the kids to lie on

·        Help carry excessive load of items that we buy on my laps

·        Change CD and change radio channels

·        Wipe off water from the side mirrors during heavy rain

·        Supply food, tidbits and drinks

·        Watch out for speed cameras and also possible reasons for traffic jam in front

·        Search for destination on GPS and street directory

·        Think of alternative routes

·        Pass money to driver at petrol station

·        Tear parking coupon and pass topped-up cashcard to driver

·        Provide shawl when the weather is cold

·        Adjust air-conditioner in the car

·        Ensure that all personal belongings and newly purchased items are cleared from the car

·        Kill ants and cockroach

·        Maintain discipline and silence of kids in the car

·        Provide entertainment in talking and singing when required

·        Mediator of quarrels

·        Test the children spelling

Does this sound familiar to you when you are also the passenger in a car? It has become my routine job when I am in the car with my boys: ) However, I am happy to perform this job as I really prefer to be driven than to drive. The job list is so lengthy until it could become my stable job if I work as Flight Attendant in a few cars with kids <LOL> <WINK>
