We happened to come across a shop assistant who was performing ear hole piercing service for 2 lady customers. Darren was curious over the process.

Darren : Is it painful?

Mummy: Yes, darling.

Darren: Which is more painful? Injection or this one?

Mummy: I think they are the same.

Darren: I also want to make hole in my ear.

Mummy: Why?

Darren: Because wear ear rings very nice.

Mummy: You cannot wear because boys cannot wear ear rings.

Darren: Why I see other boys wear ear rings before?

Mummy: Err….?? You cannot just follow other people. Mummy does not want you to wear ear rings.

Darren: Why cannot? Mummy can wear and your ear rings so nice.

Mummy: <Silence>….

Children’s curiosity really goes far and they can persist with questions till they get the answers that they want.
