December 2011 School Holidays Local Trail : Kampong Glam

The last time we visited Little India.  Recently, we went on to visit another historical and cultural heritage - Kampong Glam. Over here - there is the Sultan Mosque and Bussorah Pedestrian Mall.

Living in a multi-ethnic society, isn’t teaching our kids to accomodate and accept each other’s culture and religion the way to be?  Ideal educational trip for primary schoolers. Brendan has done a school project on Sultan Mosque in his P4 and so he is most familiar with the landmark:)

The next time when you drop by Bugis, instead of lingering only around Bugis Street and Bugis Junction, why not also walk a little further and sense the richness in culture and nostalgia over at Kampong Glam.

Parking wasn’t easy but phew! we managed to get a paid carpark lot at the roadside. Kampong Glam can be accessible by bus or Bugis MRT station too but have to walk a short distance. Click HERE for more information on Kampong Glam.
