POKEMONS - The Children’s Favourites
I guess every kid has his or her own favourite cartoon character and action figure. I have always like Mickey Mouse and have been an ardent Mickey and Minnie Fan even till today.
Kids tend to be crazy over certain cartoon characters and action figures at different point of their childhood. Their interests might change with influence from commercial advertisements, movie screening and friends. These few years, I have seen my boys’ “favourite characters” evolved from Superman, Batman, Chipmunks, Mickey Mouse, Transformer, Digimons …. to Pokemons.
Yes, Pokemons have remained as their “All Time Favourite” for at least 2 years. Thanks to a super supportive mummy. They now have Pokemon stationeries, toys, games, cap, guides, books, stickers and hundreds of Pokemon figures. Brendan is so excited over his Pokemon collections and he is on a project now to share his Pokemon collections on his blog. I am truly marveled by the power of these Pokemons over Darren because till now I do not understand how he was able to make out the instructions on the electronic Pokemon games even before he learns how to read - <lol>-
Naturally, the boys are very happy when mummy got them 4 more new collectibles today.
Lately, Darren came whispering in my ears that his elder brother has been taking over his Pokemon collections. Apparently, a very smart and “big bully” Brendan has discovered a way to make money and make fun of Darren. He has set up a store at home selling Pokemon items to Darren. Which means Darren has to pay real money in order to get back his own collections! Strangely, Darren does not find it offensive at all and wanted to play along with Brendan. So the mini toy store at home has been in operation for the last few weeks. Sometimes, it is hard for adults to understand the rules of our children’s games, huh?
